Hello hello friends! We're nearing the end of Deut which means we are at the point where Moses is recapping all the laws from Leviticus. Definitely not the most fun reading, nor the most inspiring, but I do think it serves a helpful purpose as we prepare to spring into Joshua where we will find mostly narrative leading up to the prophets. Understanding the customs and culture will help us make sense of some of the actions and decisions that lie ahead. I know its not great, I'm reading it with you, but God's voice is present in all scripture, we just need to breathe deeply and read slowly. Let's jump on in!

Questions to Consider
What does this teach me about God?
What does this teach me about humanity?
What does this teach me about myself?
What disturbs me? What challenges me? What comforts me?
Would Jesus say amen to this?
Prayer (end of Psalm 59)
But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress. O my strength, to you I sing praises, for you, O God, are my refuge, the God who shows me unfailing love. Amen.
